Problem:

Users encounter the error "Account Name must not be empty" when importing a trial balance from MYOB into a Workpapers binder. No rows appear in the trial balance.

Cause:

This issue occurs when one or more accounts in the MYOB Chart of Accounts have missing or blank names, including inactive accounts.

Steps to Resolve:

1. Open MYOB AccountRight:

- Navigate to Accounts > Chart of Accounts.

2. Review the Chart of Accounts:

- Look for accounts with blank names.

- Check both active and inactive accounts.

3. Update Blank Accounts:

- Rename any accounts with missing or blank names (including inactive ones).

- Save changes in MYOB.

4. Re-attempt the Import:

- Return to Workpapers and retry the import. The error should be resolved, and accounts should now display correctly.
