How to Troubleshoot MYOB Practice Management Integration Errors

Issue:
When connecting Active to MYOB Practice Management, some users may encounter the following error:
​{"ApiType":0,"ExceptionName":"NotFoundException","Message":"Unable to find connection."}


Cause:
The error occurs because authentication with MYOB Practice Management's API is failing.


Resolution:

  1. Ensure you meet the necessary prerequisites for this integration. You can find details here.

  2. Verify that you are an Admin user for your MYOB Practice Management instance.

  3. Log in to MYOB Practice Management using your base URL with /rest at the end. For example:
    ​https://<your-instance>.myobpracticemanagement.com/rest
    You should see the following screen:
    ​

  4. Navigate to API Clients.

    • Search for your Active platform integration.

    • Confirm that the integration is flagged as "Active."

  5. Click the name of your integration to open the API client settings.

    • Ensure the following required flag is checked.

    • Click Save to confirm the changes.
